Truly I tell you, just as you did to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me. (Matthew 25:40)
King of Kings Lutheran Church & Preschool has had a strong commitment to outreach ministry throughout its history. We support numerous outreach programs in our local community: many of whom directly minister to the homeless, the poorest of the poor, and those that have had their lives throw into chaos. We partner with local organizations; such as Western Fairfax Christian Ministries, Our Daily Bread, NOVACO, Rebuilding Together, Martha’s Table, and FACETS. We also support the education of church leadership through seminary stipends and the Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary.
For several years our congregation has come together to support Fairfax County Hypothermia Shelter program, being a blessing to both our members and our homeless guests.
On an international level, we support the Lutheran Church in El Salvador along with a covenant with our sister congregation of the Nueva Esperanza Salvadoran Lutheran Church, Stop Hunger Now, and a Global Missionary Sponsorship.
We have a long history of generous support to our church wide organization by tithing 10% of our offerings to our Synod/national Church.
